Keeping customer non-public information secure is one of First State Bank's primary responsibilities. We are committed to handling this information with the utmost care.

What we have done to secure your data
This Internet Banking System features a combination of industry approved security technologies to protect your non-public information. These include login/password-controlled entry, digital signatures, data encryption, routers and firewalls. All Internet security systems are audited and tested on a regular basis.

Our system, the Internet Banking System, uses a "three (3) strikes and you're out" lockout mechanism to deter users from repeated login attempts. After three unsuccessful login attempts, the system locks the user out, requiring a phone call to the bank to verify the password before re-entry into the system.

*CHECK YOUR BROWSER*

The Internet Banking System uses a 128-bit secure server. To communicate with our server, it will require a browser with that capability, i.e. Netscape version 7.1 or higher, Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above.

What you can do to help

  • Keep your login and password confidential
  • Change your password on a regular basis
  • Consider using a personal firewall and/or virus protection to prevent hackers from entering your personal computer
  • ALWAYS log-off when you have finished your transactions
